After Monday night’s game, the Phillies dismissed pitcher Joe Ross, promoted right-handers Daniel Robert and Lou Trivino from Triple-A Lehigh Valley, and placed reliever Jordan Romano on the 15-day disabled list due to inflammation in his right middle finger.

With 12 strikeouts to eight walks and a 5.79 ERA (6 ER, 9.1 IP), Robert, 30, has made 12 bullpen appearances this season. He hasn’t scored in nine of his 12 games this season. On August 17, he was optioned to Lehigh Valley after being restored from the 15-day disabled list. Since then, he has made three appearances (2.1 IP) for the IronPigs, all of which have ended in a scoreless game. On May 10, 2018, Robert signed a non-drafted free agency contract with the Texas Rangers. On April 30, he was acquired by the Phillies in exchange for minor league pitcher Enrique Segura.

On August 4, the Phillies signed 33-year-old Trivino as a minor league free agent. In his six games with Lehigh Valley, he has pitched 7.0 shutout innings with seven strikeouts, holding opponents to a.208 batting average (5-24). Trivino started the 2025 season with the San Francisco Giants and finished 3-1 with a 4.42 ERA (19 ER, 38.2 IP) and 29 strikeouts against 13 walks in 37 combined appearances (2 starts) with the Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers this season.

Trivino, a native of Green Lane, Pennsylvania, has played for the Oakland Athletics (2018–22), New York Yankees (2022), Giants (2025), and Dodgers (2025) for portions of six major league seasons. His career record is 24-26 with 322 appearances (3 starts), 328 strikeouts, and a 3.92 ERA (141 ER, 323.1 IP). Oakland first selected Trivino in the eleventh round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft.

In 37 games (1 start) in season, Ross was 2-1 with a 5.12 ERA (29 ER, 51.0 IP) and 39 strikeouts to 18 walks after being signed by the Phillies as a free agency on December 23, 2024. The San Diego Padres first selected the 32-year-old Berkeley, California native in the first round (25th overall) in the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft.

On Tuesday, Major League Baseball formally released the 2026 regular season schedule.

The Giants and Yankees will play a stand-alone Opening Night game at Oracle Park in San Francisco on Wednesday, March 25 to kick off the 2026 championship season. On Thursday, March 26—the earliest scheduled regular Opening Day in MLB history—a 14-game Opening Day slate will follow.
