Newcastle United’s current Alexander Isak predicament is starting to resemble nothing we’ve ever witnessed at the club.

Even though Eddie Howe publicly defended the striker and expressed his hope that he would stay with the team, many supporters are finding it more difficult to defend Isak’s choice to essentially go on strike before the beginning of the Premier League season.

But not all of the blame has fallen on Isak; Liverpool and Isak’s own group must also take responsibility for the unfolding drama.

Over the past month, Vlado Lemic, Isak’s agent, has come under heavy fire, with one journalist scolding Lemic for masterfully arranging the current Isak predicament.

In a recent remark, Luke Edwards of The Telegraph attacked both the player and the agent, claiming that Isak’s representative had “failed him so badly.”

By continuing to go on strike, the 25-year-old is not only ruining his legacy on Tyneside but also leading many members of the media to doubt his character.

Eddie Howe and his teammates lost what should have been an opening-day victory over Aston Villa yesterday because he was misguided and approached the situation incorrectly.
